Prayers for Pascha

PASCHA HOURS (PASCHA WEEK / BRIGHT WEEK / RENEWAL WEEK)
http://orthodoxievco.net/ecrits/liturg/perso/pascal.htm

Until and including Bright Saturday, all prayer services are begun in the following manner:

+ Through the prayers of our holy fathers, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, have mercy on us.

Troparion:

Christ is risen from the dead; by death, He has conquered death, and to those in the tomb, He has given life. (3x)

This is usually chanted:

Chant:  Christ is Risen  https://resources.myrrhbearers.ca/sites/default/files/Christ-is-Risen_Byzantine-English-and-Greek.pdf

Having seen the Resurrection of Christ, let us adore the holy Lord Jesus, Who alone is without sin.  We venerate Thy Cross, O Christ, let us sing and glorify Thy holy Resurrection, for Thou art our God, we know no other, and it is Thy Name that we invoke.  Come, all you faithful, let us adore the holy Resurrection of Christ.  For through the Cross joy has come to the whole world.  Blessing the Lord at all times, we sing of His Resurrection.  He suffered on the Cross for us, destroying death by death. (3x)

Hypakoï (Response)

Before dawn, Mary and her companions found the stone rolled away from the tomb, and heard the angel say to them:  "Why do you seek among the dead, as a man, Him who is in eternal light?  See the shroud.  Run, then, and announce to the world that the Lord is risen, that He has conquered death, for He is the Son of God Who saves mankind."

Kontakion (Hymn):

Thou didst descend into the tomb, O Immortal One, and Thou hast overthrown the power of hell.  Thou hast risen up a victor, O Christ-God, saying to the myrrh-bearers: "Rejoice!"  Thou gavest peace to Thine apostles and resurrection to fallen men.

In the tomb, Thou wert with Thy Body.  In hell with Thy Soul as God.  In paradise with the thief.  On the throne with the Father and the Spirit, O Christ, Thee, the Infinite who fills all.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

More resplendent than royal dwellings, so appears to us Thy sepulchre, O Christ, bridal chamber and source of our resurrection.

And now and forever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

from the Akathist to the Mother of God:

Rejoice, holy and divine Tabernacle of the Most High, for through thee, O Mother of God, joy is given to those who sing to thee:  Blessed art thou amongst all women, O all pure Sovereign.

Kyrie eleison. (40x)

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and to the ages of ages.  Amen.

Hymn to the Theotokos:

It is truly meet to bless thee, O Theotokos, ever-blessed and most pure, and the Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and more glorious beyond compare than the Seraphim, without defilement thou gavest birth to God the Word, True Theotokos, we magnify thee!  (3x)

Then we finish:

Christ is risen from the dead; by death, He has conquered death, and to those in the tomb, He has given life. (3x)

Having risen from the tomb, as He had predicted, Jesus gives us eternal life and His great Mercy.

Through the prayers of our holy fathers, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, have mercy on us.  Amen.
